Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE:

Conduct telephone interviews with respondents on marketing research projects from a specifically designed questionnaire according to project requirements. Follow explicit instructions, supervisor guidance, and Maritz Research's ISO Quality Management System to meet or exceed client expectations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete new employee orientation and training program, including computer training.
  • Perform all functions of an interviewer:
    • Attend project briefings for an understanding of how to conduct interviews.
    • Administer questionnaire as written and record responses verbatim into a computer.
    • Follow explicit instructions from the supervisor on each project to ensure quality and consistency.
    • Become proficient in administering questionnaires requiring probing and clarifying techniques.
    • Maintain a friendly, but professional rapport with respondents.
    • Review completed material for errors and incomplete information.
    • Maintain the production rate while maintaining quality.
    • Demonstrate skills which encourage respondent cooperation.
    • Communicate effectively with the supervisor about job issues.
  • Adhere to scheduled working hours to achieve client/center goals.
  • Understand, implement, and ensure all work is done according to quality procedures.
  • Attend quarterly interviewer training review sessions.
